Member Service Representative II - Gray, Tenn.

We're seeking a seasoned Member Service Representative with exceptional member experience skills to join our Team!  If you:
  • Are passionate about providing an unsurpassed member experience;
  • Have never, never, ever met an application you couldn't master or tame;

  • Have a knack for finding a better (compliant) way to get the job done; and

A few essential Member Service Representative functions include:

  • Adhere to ACFCU Core Values at all times: Kindness, Integrity, and Ownership.
  • Teller duties to include (but not limited to): receiving share deposits and loan payments; processing cash advances, traveler’s checks, cashier’s checks, money orders, wires; disburses cash or check using cash box or cash dispenser/recycler; processing transfers; verifying transactions; reviewing transaction history for additional cross-sell opportunities; and balancing daily. Performs other teller duties as assigned.
  • Maintain working knowledge of regulatory compliance related to member services and financial services area to include (but not limited to):  BSA reporting requirements, OFAC, USA Patriot ACT, Red Flags, Regulation CC, Regulation D, Regulation E, Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending, Privacy, etc.
  • Maintain an inventory of cashier's checks, money orders, receipts, travelers’ checks, and other negotiable items for use in the Teller area.  Performs required monthly audits to include (but not limited to): consignments, vault, cash drawer, and recycler.
  • Balance vault.  Ensures dual control is maintained.
  • Research and resolve technical problems and provide assistance to other Member Service Representatives.
  • Maintain a positive attitude by focusing on solutions and promoting a collaborative environment.
  • Thorough familiarization with all aspects of electronic banking and enabling technology.         
  • Responsible for the effective execution of chargebacks, payments, and fraud issues.
  • Work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines, at all times providing stellar member experience.
  • Assist members through a consultative approach to determine the most value-added products and/or services to meet member needs.
  • When necessary, this role may rotate among local branch locations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with financial institution platforms required.
