We are thrilled to be celebrating 90 years of The Appy Way in 2022! In celebration, we want to hear your ACFCU stories and share them with our members and community! 

For this installment of Calling Your Stories, we have a story from ACFCU Member Cheryl:

“Four years ago, my girls and I had been living in an apartment for six years. I had paid thousands in rent to occupy space but never own a single brick. I wanted an affordable house in the kids’ same school zones, in a sidewalk neighborhood, where we could have enough space so we wouldn’t be piled on top of each other. I found the perfect house for my little bunch, but my credit was not quite where it needed to be.

I rolled up my sleeves and worked hard as I could to bring up my scores. ACFCU Loan Originator, Penny Pavitt absolutely killed herself working to get me the best numbers she could, saying, ‘that little girl NEEDS her own room!’ She worked and crunched and searched for the best home insurance, everything we would need. And in March 2018, we moved in. We are still here in our very own home and love it! Thank you, Penny, and thank you ACFCU for being the best credit union EVER!!!” – ACFCU Member Cheryl C.
