Mullins Joins ACFCU

Jonathan Mullins has joined Appalachian Community Federal Credit Union (ACFCU) as Senior Business Development Manager.

Mullins has a bachelor’s degree in finance from UVA Wise.  He is also a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association School of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. 

With more than 40 years of experience, he has held numerous positions in the financial services industry including chief lending officer, compliance officer, consumer, commercial and mortgage lender, branch manager, operations manager, and president and CEO.  He also held property and casualty and health insurances licenses and was a licensed appraiser for 25 years. 

In his new role, Mullins will be responsible for deposit, loan, and membership growth as well as building and strengthening relationships in the communities ACFCU serves and beyond.

The Pound, Va. native recently moved to the Kingsport area from Clintwood, Va.  He is married to Susan Mullins, who serves as the Director of Social Services for Wise County, Va.  They have a son, Cainan Mullins of Mount Carmel, Tenn., and two daughters, Katy Vance of Fall Branch, Tenn., and Kenzie Sheets of Knoxville, Tenn.
